Pour Tous in The Strategist

Our co-founder, IP attorney, and resident TikToker was quoted in The Strategist… for kids' water bottles. Not skincare. Water bottles. #MomLife

We Were on a Podcast

When seven moms start a business, Pour Tous happens. (June 11) This week, Laura is joined by Jennifer Sennott Cram and Erica Buxton, two of the seven co-founders behind Pour Tous Skin, a skincare brand created specifically for tweens and teens. Together, they share the story of how a casual moms’ wine trip turned into a growing consumer brand built by seven women with diverse professional backgrounds and 18 kids between them.
Laura, Jennifer, and Erica dive into the realities of building a startup with friends, balancing motherhood alongside entrepreneurship and corporate leadership, and why healthy skincare habits for kids matter more than ever in today’s beauty-obsessed culture. They also discuss product development, navigating partnerships, learning through entrepreneurship, and how women supporting women can lead to incredible things.

Pour Tous in the Press

The word is getting out. Here’s where Pour Tous has been making headlines. We’re incredibly grateful to be featured in conversations about tween and teen skincare, sensitive skin, and building healthier skincare routines. Every mention helps us spread our mission of creating safe, simple skincare for the next generation.

What’s Actually in Our Products

  • Prickly Pear Extract (in Our Cleanser): Why It’s So Special

The cactus that's basically a hydration flex.

Most cleansers clean by stripping—surfactants lift away dirt and oil, but they take your skin's natural oils with them too, which is why washing your face can leave it feeling tight or squeaky. Prickly pear is loaded with fatty acids (linoleic, oleic, palmitic) that replenish those oils right as the cleanser is washing them away, so skin doesn't end up over-dried. It also brings antioxidants and polyphenols along for the ride, so even a rinse-off step is doing a little protective work, plus anti-inflammatory properties that keep the wash itself from feeling harsh.

Bottom Line: It's a cleanser that removes the day without removing skin's natural defenses—no tight, stripped feeling after.

  • Blue Light Protection (in Our Moisturizer): Why Young Skin Needs It

Moisturizer—the last step of the routine. Screen time protection, but make it skincare.

This one's last for a reason: it's the final layer standing between skin and however many hours of screen time come next. Blue light from phones and laptops penetrates deeper than UVA rays, reaching down into skin and triggering oxidative stress—free radicals that research links to increased redness, uneven tone, and even measurable drops in hydration (one study found a 15% reduction in skin hydration and a 20% increase in roughness with cumulative blue light exposure). For skin that's on a device more hours a day than any generation before it, that's a real, everyday stressor—not a someday problem.

If you want to get technical: SpecPure® Aqua GBE is extracted and filtered using nanotechnology. It’s water-soluble, with a solubility greater than 5% in cold water. It can inhibit the synthesis of hyaluronidase, inhibit increased oxidative stress caused by blue light irradiation, and scavenge the free radical DPPH. Therefore, SpecPure® Aqua GBE offers anti-allergy, anti-blue-light, and antioxidant benefits. In addition, clinical studies have shown moisturizing, water-retention, hydration-enhancing, brightening, and skin-tone-evening effects.

Bottom Line: It's not an anti-aging claim—it's protecting skin from the specific kind of stress screens actually cause, which matters more for kids than most of us realize.

  • Chamomile + Mushroom Extract: Calming Booster

Tea time and forest magic, teaming up for your face.

Chamomile is the ingredient that calms you down in a cup and calms skin in a formula—it's known for easing redness, irritation, and that "my skin is having a day" feeling, especially during breakouts, sun irritation, or hormonal shifts. Mushroom extract brings its own superpower: beta-glucans that pull water into skin and calm dryness and itchiness at a deeper level while supporting the skin barrier so it can bounce back faster. Together, they're not just soothing skin in the moment—they're helping it recover.

Bottom Line: Two time-tested calming ingredients working together—great for reactive, breakout-prone, or easily irritated skin without any harsh actives.

  • Marimoist™ (in Our Hydrating Booster)

Hydration from the sea, not the sink.

Marine-based ingredients grow in mineral-rich water and absorb things land plants never get access to—trace minerals like magnesium and zinc, amino acids, and polysaccharides that act as humectants, binding water right at the surface of skin for a plumper, bouncier look. That combination is what makes marine hydration feel different: lightweight and fast-absorbing instead of heavy, with mineral support for overall skin function on top of the moisture.

Bottom Line: A lightweight way to hydrate that won't feel greasy or heavy—good for skin still figuring out its own oil balance.

  • Prebiotics (Found in Our Base Serum): Why They’re Better

Feeding the good stuff on your skin, not just flooding it with water.

preBIULIN AGA is an inulin-based natural prebiotic that is clinically proven to restore the microbiota after disruption. It supports microbiota homeostasis by using inulin to feed select beneficial organisms that have the enzyme inulinase to metabolize it. This produces nutrients for other microbiota species and stabilizes communities within the food web. By reinforcing the microbiota, this active ingredient can offer improved short- and long-term hydration, as well as lessen the impact of preservatives on the skin.

Bottom Line: It's hydration that works with skin's natural systems instead of just sitting on top of them—especially valuable for skin still developing its own balance during puberty.

  • No Anti-Aging of Any Kind—Duh!

Your skin doesn't need to fight aging it doesn't have yet.

Anti-aging acids and retinoids are built to solve problems young skin simply doesn't have—collagen loss, photoaging, and fine lines. Dermatologists are direct about this: those actives target issues teens don't have, while young skin is thinner, more sensitive, and still building its barrier, so the same ingredients that help a 45-year-old's skin can cause real irritation in a 13-year-old's. Retinoids and glycolic acid in particular are linked to burning, redness, peeling, and increased sun sensitivity in younger skin—and stacking those actives on a still-developing barrier can trigger sensitization that lasts well into adulthood.

Bottom Line: We're not skipping acids because they're trendy to avoid—we're skipping them because young skin has nothing to gain from them and real irritation to lose. Everything in this line is built for skin that's still developing, not skin trying to reverse time.
