Why Pour Tous? Let's Back Up...
You've seen our products in your bathroom. Maybe you've seen us on Good Morning America or in your Forbes gift guide. But you probably haven't heard the actual story — so pull up a chair. This one starts with seven moms, way too many group texts, and a shared “wait, why doesn't this exist yet?” moment.
From a Girls' Weekend to a Full-Blown Brand
We didn't start Pour Tous in a boardroom — we started it on a girls' weekend, comparing notes on our own kids' skin. What began as one conversation in 2022 turned into three years of research, testing, and reformulating before we finally launched in August 2025.
Here's the part that makes this story a little different: we've known each other since our kids were in TK — yes, as in 5-year-olds finger-painting at pickup. Those same kids are sophomores in high school now. So this isn't seven strangers who spotted a market gap. This is a decade-plus friendship that turned into a business, built by moms who each brought a completely different skill to the table — law, chemical engineering, finance, TV production, marketing — everything you'd actually need to build a real brand from scratch.
We still have fun as friends first. We just also happen to run a company together now.
Meet the Moms Behind It
-
Tamany — IP attorney who's argued everything from trademark brawls to viral-video fair-use fights, and somehow still has time for a beach-walk brainstorm.
-
Erica — President of Razor USA with a chemical engineering degree and a Harvard MBA, equally comfortable in a boardroom or driving carpool.
-
Jennifer — Traded 15+ years in investment consulting for PTA presidencies, sideline coaching, and unofficial snack-coordinator duty.
-
Melissa — Nearly 30 years producing TV news and the Dr. Phil show, who believes everyone — including your teenager — has a story worth telling.
-
Whitney — CFO of an ad agency and mom of two wildly creative teens, fluent in both spreadsheets and high-stakes negotiation.
-
Martha — Founder of Mine Label Bags, built on the universal parenting skill of knowing where everyone's stuff is (even when they don't).
-
Megan — Ran production for American Idol and America's Got Talent, now runs a household on Goldfish crackers and pure willpower.
What We Were Actually Trying to Solve
We were intentional from day one: every ingredient had to be safe for all skin types, inclusive for both boys and girls, and formulated to hydrate and protect the barrier of young, developing skin. Anyone can use Pour Tous — but we built it specifically with our own tweens and teens in mind, ages 10 to 18.
Bringing boys into this conversation mattered just as much as girls. Girls tend to be the early adopters of skin and beauty products, but that's exactly why we didn't want to build a “beauty” brand in the first place — we wanted to build a habit. The same way you'd teach a kid to brush their teeth or wear sunscreen, we wanted skincare to just be part of the routine, not tied to any beauty standard.
Because our kids are real, everyday kids — they play sports, they're active, they deal with everyday school stress and everything else that comes with growing up. So we kept it simple, fun, and easy: formulas kids actually want to reach for, developed alongside licensed chemists to make sure “simple” never meant “not effective.”
So, What Makes Us Different?
Every Pour Tous formula is tested on our own kids first — not just in a lab. That means we obsess over what's not in the bottle just as much as what is: no retinols, no dyes, no sulfates, no parabens, no phthalates, no PEGs. Nothing your kid's skin doesn't actually need yet.
Instead, every formula is dermatologist-tested, non-comedogenic, cruelty-free, and formulated to meet strict EU safety standards — because “made for teens” should still mean held to a higher bar, not a lower one.
One thing worth being clear on: Pour Tous is not an acne treatment or prevention product. What it is: formulas that are non-comedogenic, meaning they won't clog pores or contribute to breakouts, and that layer easily under makeup or alongside whatever else is already in your routine.
